It all started on a trip back home, Assam during the lockdown when I was inspired to collaborate and create with local artisans as a way to support their skills and livelihood. Staple East is a way to share the depth and richness of this place and its people with you. But it doesn't stop there.
Thoughtful consumption is the guiding light as we create and curate products. We are mindful not only of the beauty of the craft but also the functionality of our products and the sustainability of the materials. We use natural materials for our products such as organic cotton, rattan, bamboo, straw and wood. The quality and craftsmanship of our products are made to last a lifetime.

Our goal at Staple East is to always leave a place better than we found it. Therefore we partner with our local community to help care for the needs of the people of Assam. This month we partnered with the local family to provide for health care of the head of family directly.
